Marriage Counseling Working with a couple requires focus and direction. This 4 step approach will begin our journey together.
Each couple begins with an intake session outlining their goals, hopes/fears, history as a couple, and a sample of working through a difficult conversation.
Both partners will each meet for an individual session to discuss their own individual history and perspective on the relationship.
Partners are then asked to complete (individually) an online assessment providing your counselor with valuable information and history.
Then, we meet again as a couple and discuss the results of the interviews, assessment and conflict sample to provide you with a detailed treatment plan to strengthen the relationship.
This evidence-based approach developed by Drs. John and Julie Gottman is essential in pinpointing areas of strength and areas where growth is needed. Areas of strength are capitalized upon in order to implement effective interventions to help the relationship grow. See for yourself the difference talking with a professional can make in your relationship.
